About Us

Eton Psychiatrists is a private mental health clinic composed of a specialist team of mental health professionals dedicated to giving high quality care, at an affordable cost.

We have decades of experience in mental health, and our team have worked in a variety of different settings, in the public and private sector.

We cover all range of mental health problems from early childhood to old age, but we have a special passion for neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) ADHD and Autism.

We provide care in a flexible manner, offering face to face and remote assessments, depending upon your preference and needs.

At Eton Psychiatrists, we understand the frustration that individuals can experience in waiting for long periods of time for an Autism or ADHD assessment, or for ADHD treatment once a diagnosis is made.

It is our mission to provide these services, and more, and deliver them promptly, and to the highest of standards.

Our Team

Dr Hossein Rostampour

I am Dr. Hossein Rostamipour, a Consultant Psychiatrist working at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, one of the most renowned mental health institutions in Europe. I also serve as a Visiting Consultant at the Priory Mental Health Hospital in Roehampton. Additionally, I work at the Brain Health Clinic, part of the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience at King’s College London.

I have also held the position of honorary lecturer at King’s College London. Through my experience working in various settings, including the NHS and private practice, I have treated numerous patients suffering from undiagnosed ADHD, alongside other serious mental and physical health conditions. Helping these individuals receive a more accurate diagnosis, addressing the root cause of their symptoms, and guiding them toward positive change in their lives and for their loved ones has fueled my passion to raise awareness about ADHD, Autism, and neurodiversity.

I possess extensive experience working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health services across London, handling complex cases involving various mental health disorders. Currently, my primary focus is on assessing and treating individuals with neurodiversity, particularly those with complex ADHD, as well as cases where ADHD is combined with Autism or other mental health conditions. I have also undergone additional training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which has proven valuable in diagnosing ADHD in women.

Each year, I successfully assess and treat hundreds of ADHD patients, which has honed my ability to manage complex cases and provide customized, safe, and optimized treatment plans.

I believe ADHD and Autism often go undiagnosed, especially in high-functioning individuals. Unfortunately, people with neurodiversity frequently face discrimination at school and work, which hinders their ability to reach their full potential and experience true happiness and fulfillment. Despite their efforts, they may continue to experience symptoms such as low mood, mood swings, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, and memory problems, which are often misdiagnosed as other mental health disorders. These individuals may not respond well to traditional therapies and medications because the underlying cause of their difficulties remains unrecognized.

I truly hope to be part of your journey, helping you better understand yourself, receive a thorough assessment, achieve your treatment goals, and ultimately enjoy a more fulfilling and easier life.

Dr. David Rigby

I am Dr. David Rigby, Medical Director of Eton Psychiatrists. I am a consultant in General Adult and Older Adult Psychiatry and have been working in the discipline for 12 years now. I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bristol (MBChB) in 2008, and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry (MRCPsych) in 2016. I am a Section 12(2) approved doctor and an Approved Clinician. I completed my psychiatric training in East London and Surrey.

Over the course of my career, I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, crisis, and early intervention in psychosis settings. My specialist interest is in the diagnosis and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Having the privilege to provide effective, and sometimes life-changing treatments for people under my care with ADHD, has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

I am interested in the positive impacts of technology on mental health. I was the founding co-chair of the Royal College of Psychiatry’s Digital Special Interest Group and continue to sit on the committee. I co-directed a UK mental health technology conference called PsychTech, and have spoken about digital mental health at international conferences. I have a passion for teaching, and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. I have previously held a Fellowship of Medical Education in North East London NHS Foundation Trust, and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer post at Queen Mary University of London.

I strongly believe in the importance of shared decision-making in my clinical practice. It is my job to provide you with a range of options, and advise you on the pros and cons of each, to help you make an informed decision on your own treatment. I understand the importance of prompt care and advice, whether it be through an email or an appointment.

Dr. Monika Badhan

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist based in London. I graduated from Hull York Medical School and completed my Psychiatry training in the prestigious North Central London training scheme, working in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to this, I am internationally accredited, both certified by both the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK (RCPsych) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada.

I am a holistic practitioner and consider the biological, psychological and social factors that may underpin your presentation, and how these can all change over time. I am grounded by an evidence-based approach but I am also very keen to work in collaboration with you in order to understand the meaning behind symptoms, whatever they may be. With this in mind, I have experience in a variety of psychotherapy models and I draw on these, when appropriate, in my clinical practice.

I currently work within the NHS in an inner-city Crisis Service, and I am particularly skilled at the management of emergency presentations, as well as long-term psychiatric conditions, and the different ways they manifest across a person’s life-span. I also have a background in academic research and have contributed to the growing literature around tele-mental health and the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to clinical work, I have a keen interest in the arts – all kinds – and hold a position on the Executive Committee of the Art and Psychiatry Special Interest Group (ARTSIG) within the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Dr Obioha Ukaegbu

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry, and ADHD.

I earned my Medical Degree from University College London in 2010 and my membership with the Royal College of Psychiatry (MRCPsych) in 2017. After eleven years in psychiatry, I have a wealth of experience, having worked with patients and clients of all ethnic backgrounds, genders, and occupational statuses. I am sensitive to people’s spiritual and cultural sensibilities. This is with a view to fostering an understanding and supportive therapeutic relationship, that is rooted in validation, non-judgement, and reassurance.

I have seen over two hundred patients for ADHD assessment specifically and have identified neurodevelopmental cases in general clinic assessment.

I have worked in an Autism Service previously and am adept at identifying these issues. In my career, I have worked in ward settings, emergency settings, clinic settings, and outreach services across several London NHS Trusts.

I use a deductive approach to diagnosis, whilst keeping an open mind to alternatives, and will consider your health holistically.

You can be assured of quality, up-to-date care in my practice.
