Our Purpose

The Qajar Association is a non-profit, non-political organization

dedicated to preserving and celebrating the art, culture, and history of the Qajar era. Our mission is not only to safeguard this important chapter of Iranian heritage for contemporary and future generations, but also to contribute to historical accuracy by identifying and correcting errors or mistakenly reported facts. Through collaboration with renowned professors, historians, and academic researchers, we ensure that the narrative of the Qajar period is represented with scholarly rigor, authenticity, and integrity.

Our Story

How We Began

The Qajar Association was founded to address historical misconceptions and restore the authentic narrative of the Qajar era. Established by Qajar descendants, we work with universities, historians, researchers, cultural advocates, artists, and museums worldwide to correct historical errors and challenge oversimplified accounts.

What began as an effort to preserve private family archives has evolved into a global platform for Qajar scholarship, uniting academics, artists, and cultural enthusiasts across continents.

Today, we serve as both a cultural institution and an educational resource, connecting academic research with public understanding of Iran’s royal heritage.

Historical archive

We believe that understanding the past is essential for shaping a more informed future. Through our work, we honor not just the Qajar dynasty, but the broader tapestry of Iranian culture and identity.
